Also interesting to note, Advance Paris's forthcoming flagship amps will have room correction capability - but they're deliberately not providing the software because, get this, unlike most other manufacturers, they believe it should be done by the experts/dealers and not the end user.

Hi, this is very good observation. I am also in the camp which do not like to fiddle with filters, room corrections ect. I like more changing components like tube combo with semiconductor amp etc. to get desired sound. Some 10-12 years ago I purchased DAC from Electrocompanient to "improve sound of my CD player Rega Jupiter 2000". Later I was shocked, Electro dac with so many electronic adjustments was good but that old player had more "balls" and energy than Dac from Electro. Since that time I try to keep things simple and use also synergy between brands, components etc. Like Moon Audio, Naim Audio, Audia Flight, Cyrus, Rega and many others. BR.

Odd, because if I was paying extra for room correction ability I would want to use it to adjust to how I wanted to hear things not a dealer's idea as to how it should sound.
It's a bit like buying an amp with unusable tone controls.....

It's not odd to me, and it's just their opinion to that the end user won't have enough knowledge to implement it properly.

Also, by several reviews I've read of Dirac's latest variant - Dirac Art, is that although they don't explicitly market it as such, these reviews have suggested it's best left to professionals.

And an increasing number of listeners suggest that Eversolo's room correction is really not great, for example.

Perhaps it isn't - Eversolo room correction I am referring to.
After all it's simply software telling you what it thinks is the best for your room isn't it?
Regards install by professional does this mean you have to pay for one to come out on top of what you paid for the amp and every time you move or decide hifi is going in a different room??
No thanks.

Yes, but that software in Eversolo may be a bit faulty.

when i had my house full , family, i had to buy thick sheets of cork and isolated a room all and even put a thick wood door opening for the outside and it ended the shouts of my better half and the noise produced by a young girl and a boy(already in is teen years ) than i noticed coming from my first born son a sound that i recognised, it was Dead Kennedy´s last record not sure if it was a compilation or re-recorded songs and maybe one or two new or maybe not , but was a pleasure to my ears they even move when i wanted them to, "Give me convinience or give me death" and again shpouits"tell your son to put the music down" i replyed, isn´t your´s?have to check it, the 70´s were confusing"and i went to his room and said, but i notice a kind of fear in his eyes and told him"stop it, we have to go! "so we went to his grandfather house" father, yes son, i want a better system for jr. " well he was with a expression of happiness, i bring back to my home some HPM-1100 , a SX-1050 ,SG-9500 a PL-530 with a shure cartridge the M95 and told him to better sound always put loudness on , the tone controls you put them wherever you feel like to" and because i had isolated a entire room ,i couldn´t hear what happened in the next hours and days.

I've found too many filter and 'correction' options to be a distraction, and they just end up getting on my nerves. Room/acoustic treatment can make a big difference, but for most of us it isn't realistic, and we're lucky to be able to set a system up in at least a half decent space with a good listening position.
