Hi,

I'm still looking at receivers in Silver that hit the decoding, upconverting and power heights. This seems to be spot on at the new clearance price.

Anyone convinced it is or isn't ?

Cheers !!!!

I have got one after months of trying different models although i got it a while ago when it was £1000! But still was worth every penny it really is bloody powerful if you watch master and commander on dvd the sound will blow you're room apart. And if you have a blu-ray player the sound is even better in tru-hd. Plus i bought a nintendo wii a while ago when i put in into my tv (Samsung 50" plasma) it looked blurry and the colours were not great even with the component lead. But then i bought the 875 and put the wii through that and the difference is unbelievable it makes the games look High definition. I'd say go for it providing you can give it plenty of room as it runs very warm.

im not sure about it sounding better! i heard one at my local hi fi emporuim and it had a very harsh top end with bucket loads of siblance thrown in. It was connected to dali icon speakers but the onkyo 875 with same source and speakers had a nice clean top end!
