i will get a 3d set as long as i can use it with my ps3 and sky hd via the 1.3 hdmis i have via my onk 705.

but this will all depend on price i dont mind playing a little extra for a 3d set but number one it would have to be good with 2d content.so i am very intrested in the new panasonics the mix of panasonics detail and the kuros blacks sound very good so if thay can give the picture quality im hoping for then the 3d would make a real bonus

that will be a long way off i cant see it working unless you have a projector.theres probably alot more people with projectors than ever but even on this fourum with enthusiasts, projecters are rare

Personally I don't see 3D working on 40" TV's. 3D will need to fill your whole field of vision to be effective.

I agree 4K2K is a long way off, but I pitch that as being the next best thing. The Japanese have been testing 4K2K broadcasts for a while now. Probably looking about 5 years.

At the moment, projectors are going to have to be the way forward as pretty soon, with the demise of Pioneer and Fujitsu, it'll be the only way of getting a decent quality monitor!
