Hi Steve, You're welcome here to have a listen and couple of pints when the amp arrived from repair. There are no serious issues at all with the AMS apart from power consumption and I dont use a subwoofer.

I know I said I wouldn't interfere further, but you should put in a low bid....and if you get it, great.
Believe me, power isn't an issue on the likes of Proac Floorstanders....but heat, power usage and a volume that goes up too quickly, could be.
If this was silver I would put in a bid too, so cheap. I am not looking to upgrade right now but i think that amp would enhance my system.......of course then I would need better speakers ;-)........

And I guess it started with the faulty wall socket and our electric oven keeps trippin' all the power outlets (now sorted). Apart from the repair, John also did some upgrades(at extra costs) of some better quality components which include in the preamp section, caps and internal wirings etc. So can't really wait

The main thing that really struck me was the better definition of lower end which is more taut n punchy, super clean highs and mids without harshness or hardness. Soundstage was also improved but maintain its fluidity as if there's another pair of speakers on each side of the room. While typing this ,Im listening to Dave Grusin live and the music just floats in the air and every instrument were clearly presented in a more airy and tuneful way. John from JS Audio repair is truly a gem when it comes to Musical Fidelity.

All I can say is it must now be very good indeed, as it already set the bar very high.....improved bass definition, extra clarity and all without losing its magic, sounds the business.

The other thing is, if its so great, and I'm not doubting it is, 1) why did MF stop making it and 2) why havent they reintroduced it since?
