Hi all,

very new to this and need some help please.

Current Situation:

Just moved into a new home and starting to set things up. The living room has been set up pretty sweet, but I have I study that I'm slowly making the 'man room'. It's somewhere I rule on what is watched, played, listened to and when - Vampire Diaries and Desperate Housewives is strictly prohibited.

I currently have a Mac and a Samsung P2370HD pinned to the wall and a xbox 360 elite lurking in the corner. The room is wide but only about 8ft deep. I have the sofa facing the TV so there is only about 5ft between me and the TV, thus the small screen.

What's Planned:

I'm currently on bit of a tight budget. I was planning on buying the new Apple TV so I can watch my movies and listen to iTunes without wires. I wanted a sound system which I can connect to do this.

I saw the high rating of the Denon D-M38DAB and thought this would fix the equation.

The question:

Should I get a micro system or should I get a home cinema system. £300ish is the budget, what would you recommend?

How about this?

clicky

You can even stream movies from your pc/nas/laptop without having to buy an Apple TV. From what Ive read about it, it would be probably be good for your size of room.

Go length-wise in that room and buy a 42'' Plasma

For now.

lol, would love to but there is a door and window at either end.

I like your suggestion bobbyg81. I do however like how the apple TV smoothly connects to my Mac and that I can use my iPhone as a remote. Does the LG HB405SU have wi-fi or do I have to use a cable to link it to my Mac? I didn't quite understand that from the Specs.

I assumed it was but on closer look it doesn't appear so. I know there is wireless dongle sender recievers that you can buy really cheaply that would probably sort that out though. Im getting out of my league with these though. Iknow they work but you would have to do a bit of research to see what quality is like.
