Hello to all here is a question which belongs in all of the categories of this forum. I have just moved home, in my old house my tv resided on the wall with a single hdmi connection to it for my freesat and vga for a htpc. This left space on the top of my optimum rack for my turntable. Just before moving my htpc mobo kicked the bucket and in the new place the tv is too small for the room, so has been relagated to the bedroom.

Now what to do downstairs, here are my options as i see them

1) new htpc and projector combo, leaves rack unaltered and just means some fun running cable but results could be suspect

2) Plasma, bluray player and a stand with cantilever stand but which one to accommodate that turntable?

3) and finally led TV with bluray and put it up on the wall and pay someone to come fit it.

All are fine options but which one will give the best results for a budget of £2000

The wall in question does not have the wight baring capacity for the plasma really, i know that if i pay someone else to do it all will be well and good but would you trust a plasterboard and stud wall to hold your newly purchased TV if it was on the portly side.

Thats my only reason for the options, all be it possibly not too wise

Its a stud wall with brick behind it, I cannot remember what the gap is between the two.

A little more detail for those of you who have been kind enough to post already, to try and explain the reasoning.

I live in a area which uses ridge hill for freeview so will not be receiving hd via freeview till this time next year, so the plasma in question is panasonics 50in g20 series to get the hd via freesat for now, but is heavy for the wall and the stands with brackets leave little room for my turntable.

I want dlna and other network based services so I have been looking at the new sony range at the hx803 46in, but no freesat.

The projector option would be a sanyo plv z700 with a mythtv box hangining off it with dual tuners and android remotes.

Now the projector provides a complete option and best screen size for 4m viewing distance but requires most setup in a south facing room, but would the panasonic or sony give a better experience. Baring in mind that all will go through my existing hifi setup
