Whats the best western you have ever seen, and why. for me..heres a little clue da da de da de de da de da.

Magnificent 7.

Great actors, story (OK it was from the 7 Samurai) and the best music score ever.

Plus the fact my first job was as a trainee projectionist and I saw it 14 times.

Not just my favourite western but my favourite film of all time - `Once Upon A Time In The West`.

Sergio Leone`s masterpiece starring Henry Fonda, Jason Robards, Charles Bronson and Claudia Cardinale. Beautifully shot, slow moving with a great storyline. Includes for me the most chilling scene of all time. I won`t tell you what it is in case you haven`t seen it but all these years later it still sends a chill right through me. Another great moment is when you finally discover why Charles Bronson has come to town. For an actor who normally plays a good guy, Henry Fonda sure plays a baddie brilliantly.

And it`s this film that has the best music score ever by the renowed composer Ennio Morricone.

Yep, have to agree,it was very very good. Loved the harmonica score, when the lamp in the cantina show's Bronson's face.

Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid.

Two great actors with a slice of humour thrown in for good measure.

And perhaps not the ending you want.

More beans Mr Taggert?

I'd say you've just about had enough!

There's a film that will NEVER get remade!

I'm with Max.

The Good, The Bad & The Ugly.

Also a big fan of other Eastwood westerns, Unforgiven & High Plains Drifter

Indeed, one of many superb moments.

Has to be The Searchers or The Man Who Shot Liberty Valance or Shenandoah perhaps .....How The West Was Won maybe ?
