As compact as possible (without being too flimsy) with a 'robust' Bluetooth signal at close distances.

Good sound quality for portable h/phones (Sennheiser PX-100 MKII and B&W P3s are the 'benchmarks' inasmuch as the PX-100 MKIIs are the very lowest SQ I would consider but - preferably - closer to my P3s if that's reasonable to expect with wireless.) I would prefer the quality to be strongest in the mid-range and upper bass and voice.

Open backed preferred but not essential. On ear rather than 'over-the-ear'.

Reasonable battery life at moderate volumes. (Volume is allways moderate as I look after my hearing and even leave the volume limiter on to prevent accidental exposure to loud volumes.) I don't want to be charging it after every single use.

Puro BT5200. I have it and it's wonderful.

Sadly not available here in the UK as far as I can see.

A pity as they look good.

EDIT: I have found these but can't tell if they are the BT5200s ...

clicky

They look exactly the same. Very likely the same. Contact the people at Puro - they'll verify it.

They for children (BT2200s) and will only fit kids and adults with small heads.

I have the adult version, and if you contact Amazon I'll bet they can get one for you.

I've read all the reviews of the BT5200s on the USA Amazon site and a number of people comment on how tight they are for them. (Not everyone obviously, it depends on each person.)

I can't risk being one of the people for whom these headphones would be too small given that this would be a transatlantic purchase with no UK consumer rights applicable regarding returns if they don't fit.

Thanks.

My head is full size, and the 5200 goes 3/4 inch larger on each size, which will fit a pretty big head.

I have been reading lots of positive feedback and reviews of the Plantronic Backbeat Sense headphones.

An unusual departure from the usual brands but seems to tick all the boxes except ultra low bass which - as already stated - doesn't bother me.

The earpads are awful and slip off the head easily. Movements of the head result in thumps in the sound, due to the proximity sensor. I can't find anything anywhere that describes the *actual* sound. My review of the Puro which does describe the actual sound, is already online at my website, and will be posted here today or tomorrow.

So long as what you review is easy to obtain in the UK (from a UK distributor with UK warranty etc.) without going 'grey market'.

The point is, I've been NOT able to buy things in my country at times, and by speaking to distributors and dealers, most of the time the items did become available. If people want the 5200, they will get the 5200. If they don't, they won't. I'm a reviewer, not a supplier, so my job (unpaid) is to tell people about a product, and if there's enough interest, it will take off from there. I think you already admitted that SOME Puros are available there now. Are you really that surprised that this new Puro is not instantly available everywhere? I'm sure it will be at some point. Sometimes people buy what they don't want because they can't get what they want right now. That's a problem for a lot of people. And sometimes having patience helps.

Thanks Dale.

That's all true for you but I have no 'irons' in this fire.

Unlike you, i've never heard them (and i'm not likely to given their absence here in UK), so I have nothing invested in pursuing them in the way you described.

I'd like to hear other ideas from other people as well but I guess, by now, it's a very specialised request.

This topic and my replies is not about me, it's about giving you some information. Lots of people read this, not just you, so it's important that they are able to share this, and maybe add some ideas of their own. It doesn't have as much participation as some other headphone forums, but it does help a few people.

Okay, thanks.

I'm going to drop my interest in this thread and leave it to you if you want it.

Obviously £100 Bluetooth, on-ear headphones are an unexpectedly 'esoteric' subject given that it's only attracted our resident headphone guru but no-one else :) (So far.)

I'll leave it for another time.

Thanks for the interest.

Chebby, if you're still checking this thread, can I suggest the Jabra Move wireless headphones? I've been using them for a year and a half or so, and I think they're excellent, and comfortably under £100.

I hope you don't mean me. I'm no guru, just a guy who uses a lot of headphones and reports on them.

I have Sennheiser IE80 and I think it is perfect. However, the price may not meet your requirement.

I also have Piduet which is bluetooth and waterproof. The sound quality is perfect and the deep bass is wonderful for me to listen to the music.

Hope this will help.

Thanks but this thread ended (for me) 6 months ago.

You need to declare your trade status/interest in your signature otherwise you come over as some kind of 'spammer'.

He's been pitching the Piduet on several threads on several sites recently, not just here.
