Hi,

I've owned the Eyris 1 and Eyris DC1, and a friend of mine has the Eyris 2.

It's a very nice series, very warm, coherent, naturally voiced. It's excellent for classical and some jazz.

It is however very polite; transient attacks are very soft, and dynamis are good, rather than excellent.

At the original price they were not not the best value around, but if you buy them used, at good prices, then they deserve an opportunity. If you value naturalness then give them a try.

bretty:they're up for £799. I'm hoping to haggle down to £750.

I think it's a bargain. The Eyris 2 was 1K new, so the Eyris 3 must have been 1.3K or so. So having the whole package for that price is really a good opportunity, if you like their sound.

Thanks, fella. From your moniker, i'm guessing if anyone knows this brand, it'd be you!!

At least with models up to 2K. I don't have any experience with their really high-end models...unfortunately.
