I have a Tacima CS929, is it also anti-surge as well as giving better sound, would it protect the hifi in a storm or should I get another anti-surge product?

I very much doubt anything you buy would protect you if lightnening hit it. But sure ~ it has inbuilt surge protection (More to do with 'spikes' in the mains than protecting equipment from hugh jolts of electricity)

As they say.........every little helps, but a lightening strike will likely travel down your TV ariel and if you have a nice AV set up could daisy chain along!
