Just took delivery of one of these, so i am going to set-up over the week-end. I want to connect my TV, BluRay Player, HD DVD Player and Onkyo amp through the Tacima...

Should i also connect the Sub?

I also have a Set Top Box and a WD TV Player and a Wii which i want to connect into the Belkin..

Now the problem is where the set up is, there's only 1 socket, so if i connect the Tacima and the Belkin via double adaptor into the socket, is this going to be detrimental to the performance of the Tacima??

Cheers..

Hi mate,

You will probably loose some dynamics plugging your amp and subwoofer into the tacima.

Make sure you plug your BRP into the first socket in line after the lead and tv next.

Cannot see plugging into a double adaptor making much difference. My only concern is the current loading on that one socket.

Nice one Paul,I'll do that, I only really watch 2 movies a week, (week-end) and the rest of the equipment is turned off, not sure if that helps with the current loading??

If you divide the total power (kw) by the voltage (v) you get the max rating on the socket, assuming that the wiring is good and tight and protected by a MCCB.

Roughly

3000w/250v=12amps

So normal sockets are rated at 13amps

Your TOTAL peak load of all connected equipment should not exceed 3000w (-10% for age and safety) I would say you could run around 2700w off that socket.

I stand to be corrected (as usual)though.
