What is the better extension I can use from mains supply to hook up my home cinema system? I am looking to protect the equipment from surge and clean the supply. I have heard of the Tacima will this suffice? I am also looking for speaker cable for the monitor surround. The system is based on the BR5 up graded fronts to RS6. Room size 5 x 5.5 mtr. Currently fed through a 605 but will be upgrading soon to the 875.

I use a Tacima CS929 for my hi-fi and my home cinema and I think they do a great job, especially for the money!

Thanks will follow suit. What about speaker cable. Is it OK to go good cable front with lesser for the back. Saying this given the room is 5 x 5.5 mtr which means I will need about 30 mtr ( 5.5 to the back wall). What about a sub cable for the BR5?

Definitely. I have cheap cable for my rear speakers. QED micro is about the best you need to spend out on but you can go a lot cheaper than that. As for sub cables, check out audiovisualonline - you can get some good quality and cheap stuff there.

At 1.70 mtr not bad. So correct me if I am wrong. Qed micro for the back speakers but what cable would you use for the front MA RS6. Reluctant to buy Qed anniversary as I have a problem with fitting air locks here. Cables are going with me to Dubai and if I get the measurement wrong it will cost me a furtune to replace. Advise anyone.
