Those JBL’s are rather big, and the room is a living room, so these are not an ideal option for me. I can pull the speakers 50 cm from the rear wall, listening distance is about 4 m, at the opposite wall. The room is 22m2. I listen a wide range of music, from rock to classical, jazz, blues, female vocals etc... The Devialet is a very likeable amp, but the price too high, don’t you think, it would be overkill for the Focus 260?

I think, without exception in the last while.....all those who have upgraded to an amp that might be considered overkill for their speakers, have been amazed at the performance it got out of them. A double upgrade, if you like.

The only person who can decide whether the outlay is worth it, is you. The reason I mentioned it, was that it has a built in DAC and it may well give a sound you are looking for (Clean/Dynamic/Punchy/Exciting/Musical)....and your speakers are listed as SAM ready.....but if it's more than you want to spend, than it should be ruled out.
