This site rarely works properly. Trying to sign in is hit and miss. You can sign in, only to find that you aren't when you try to reply to a post. On top of that, it takes an age to load anything and some of the menu choices lead you round in circles.

It's an aesthetic and functional mess.

I think it's that bad, they should pay us to use it!

genius :)

The currrent problem seems to be with the Post Reply button at the top of the page: use it on this thread, or any other existing thread, and you still get a PNF error, but generally of course you don't do that on established threads with more than one reply, you hit the last response's Reply button like I just have, and that works. But there isn't a Reply button at the bottom of new threads. Any new or infrequent members posting up new questions will think we're all a bunch of ignorant barstewards.

Even the longstanding bug where you can Report your own reply but not a new spam thread says everything you need to know about how **** this site has become in the five years since I joined. Sad really.

:) Looks like its going to be a quiet nightshift. Anyone posting a new thread now is likely to find it unanswered until WHFSAV gets their finger out and sorts this latest problem / site in general sorted promptly.

Just when you think you have got used to it, and the bugs are less problematic, BOOM somebody makes a change and it goes to hell.

Mr. Clough, what action are you taking against the idiots that can't check their own actions after changes are made? Stopping their milk at playtime possibly?

Please move the logout over to the left. Away from the menu. When im too quick i hit logout instead of menu. I know i have to wait for all the jumping up and down but its frustrating

I did post a thread saying we were aware of the problem yesterday... It's frustrating for us too. Will report back ASAP with any news.

http://www.whathifi.com/forum/about-site/reply-button-missing-unable-to-reply-to-threads

The rogue 'MinistryAudio' Paris video is still popping up here on my iPad Mini and the hyperactive ads are causing every thread to do a Tarantella before it becomes readable.

Are you suprised I missed your reply from about three pages ago?

Nice to see spammers still getting a free pass though. It's flooring today folks. (Obviously it still can't be reported even after more than a year being broken.)

EDIT.. Like an idiot I started playing something on my tablet and headphones earlier. It was 'spoken word' content from R4 on BBC iPlayer and so I had the volume up a bit. Suddenly that ####dy video started belting out loudly - on this thread - and I had to rip my headphones off. (Getting to the volume would take too long.)

Please get rid of it. I don't want to risk hearing damage.

Or make the 'in-thread' video ads clickable (with a warning of loud audio content) so we can choose. Thanks.

The old site wasn't great but it was better than this!

- Can't post links - never have been able to do so on the new site

- Bl**dy ads pop up all the time

- Spam reports are random and inconsistent

- It is often VERY slow

All that and there are those people who don't agree with everything I say too!

Adblocker - it does what it says and speeds up the site.

They don't deserve any advertising revenue with the sorry state of this site. *bad*

All the new questions and threads we can't reply to; new posters must think we're a right lousy bunch of ignorant bastards. More than beyond a joke and shows how far down the pecking order this site is in the grand scheme. I feel for Joe and Andy as much as anything else, they're the only people we can scream at. Clearly they have no direct authority to kick the appropriate person up the ass.

They could, however put up a 'sticky' on every sub-forum mentioning first posts cannot be replied to until they sort the ruddy mess out, ... simples!!

A simple pop-up notification when loging in would do it. Easy.

I, and I think Vlad too, fired up a new post each replying to someone elses new posts. Hardly ideal and hopefully a very, very short stop gap otherwise the first few pages will be a jumble of single post thread questions and single post thread replies!

Yes. I thought about this then considered what a mess it would become so resigned myself to not bothering until they sorted it. Have a quiet night, so to speak. :)

Not sure if it's related but over the last few weeks I've received e-mails from "admin@whathifi.com" regarding my requests to reset my password etc. I've never requested any such changes so have just ignored the e-mails. It must have happened about 3 times now in the last 4 weeks.

Can the admins post a 'sticky' asking new and existing members to stop posting new questions until this is all fixed? There are already a bunch of such posts that are going un-replied from the last two days.
