cool, let us know what you think.

I have a Monolith and have been toying with the idea of maybe getting the SB 2000, my room size is a touch bigger than yours so will be interesting to hear what you think

If this is your first "proper" sub, prepare to be amazed!!

Hi David,

Have re-introduced my elderly Yamaha sub to my AV and, unsurprisingly, its not upto the job. Read a good review of the SVS 2000SB and as one of the few dealers, how well does it compare to the REL T7/9? (too far to audition).

SVS seems straightforward, fast, powerful, Class D amp. but possibly not the prettiest with its metal grill.

REL class A/B, no auto standby and awkward on/off switch. Complex LFE + speaker level operation, but nice gloss black box.

Music a priority. Looking to upgrade my mishmash of AV speakers and good sub would allow standmounts into the equation.

Many thanks

sub arrived lunchtime, all set up and been warming up with music all afternoon while i was out, first impressions are its brilliant with music, bit of a shock at first, bass lines i thought were clear and tight with the wharfdale i am now hearing in a whole different light, very clean tight and punchy, very musical real texture to bass notes,no boom or distortion at all, looking forward to going through a few blue rays tonight. :)

Looks good!

Does the blue light bother you?

Bit of black tape over it, if it does ;)

Good to hear something about these subs. Is it a 50/50 split with movies and music or are you more likely to use it for music (with it being sealed)?

,the blue light has,nt bothered me yet,bit of tape would do if it does,im 50 50 music movies hence the sb,plus its in the sweet spot which is quite a small space, but it sounds so good with music i havent made it to any movies yet, tracks that used to boom and get lost are now well defined and controlled, loving it.
