Surround sound for my PS3??

Hi all,

Im sure this has probably been asked several times before, though can anyone advise if its possible to setup a surround sound system with my PS3? Im not very clued up about this so the more information the better please! Can anyone recommend any particular Sony systems i can for for?

yes - very easy to do. your PS3 is a blu-ray player; you will need is some speakers, an AV amplifier, some speaker cables and a hdmi cable. What's your budget?

Thanks for the quick reply, i dont mind spending about £500-600 for a setup, im not sure if this will get my anything decent however? I am a complete newbie so some recommendations would be really appreciated, i would preferably stick with sony equipment.

Something like this Sony amp with these speakers would make a great setup (don't worry about the WHF quoted prices, you can find both of these for under £600 with a quick search online). Or if want more of a style speaker package, have a look at these KEFs (again can be found to fit your budget).
