Suggestions: Entry level TT Setup

Hi all

I've recently purchased a technics 1210mk2 in good condition. I intend to use it for listening, mainly electronic music but some disco, funk and soul records. However, I haven't got speakers or an amp yet.

Being relatively new to hifi I don't know the best setup to go for within my budget. At a max I want to spend no more than £300 combinded (speakers & amp). I know this budget is quite tight but I'm not after top-end audiophile sound quality just yet.

Thanks. All and any suggestions welcome! Any tips on matching speakers with amps are really welcome too.

cant comment to much but when i had my project debut 3 it sounded lush on my system! I fitted it with an ortofon 2m red cartridge and that took it to another level! used a nad pp2 phono amp aswel. Unfortunately im a tight git and decided to whitle down my system to one source. Needed money for a motorbike.

Very good amp but has no remote control. Or you could look at Arcam A65+ or A75+.
