Hi can anyone suggest a subwoofer upto £700, have seen ex-demo MA gold signature gsw12 for £650 are these any good???? my room size is approx 7m x 4m

BK monolith if you dont care about size, they are about 500.00 but people say perform as well as 1000.00 + subs. but its a monster, Rel used to get their subs from BK so they are a quality place, but you cant try before you buy, but never heard one bad comment out them
650.00 is quite good for a Gold but would rather pay a touch more and get two rsw12's

size may be an issue with the mrs!! have you seen any rsw's going cheap anywhere???? oh by the way you must let me know about the lx-72 your getting, also been looking at that as i need to replace my ageing yam RVX-1400
I bought mine for 360.00 new at SMCustom Installs a few months back, they mainy install but sell the odd extra stock, they are really nice give them a call, but it seems they are selling around the 400+ mark now.

Canada16 has provided some great suggestions.
As an alternative, you could also get two BK XLS200-DF MKII (Satin black) subwoofers for your budget.
As opposed to one RSW12 sub (a superb sub by the way!), I would personally opt for two of these with your budget.

Have a look for ex-dem Velodyne SPL Ultra subs.The built in dsp is brilliant and tailors the bass to your room.Haven't tried the 800 but my 1000 is excellent - fast ,tight and musical.

Currently got the AE evo sub in my system(which in my opinion is worthless) so any upgrade i do should be better than this,
I want a sub that can handle the really low stuff, so i can at a later date add another if it is a worthwhile upgrade to have 2.

Audio-T manchester has a rsw12 for £500 I don't know if quantamelectronics still have them. I got mine for 370. I must say I am impressed. The sub is in control not the sub being controlled if it makes sense. I watched the Dark Knight good God the sub delivered in pure detail. And for music need I say more!!! BRILLIANT!! BELLISSIMO
