Subwoofer problem?

I suspect i have a problem with my sub..... it's a MJ Acoustic pro50 mkII.

When recently running auto-set up on my Yamaha av amp i'm getting a 'Level Error' result at the end of it, the sub level is reading -9db and the other 5 speakers around +-0.5 each.

The sub adds nothing to my Kef IQ5se's in terms of low level bass, the sub speaker cone is moving when listening/watching a film but just seems weak however much i turn it up.

any ideas please?

Just spoke to MJ Acoustic

It turns out the av amp's own auto-set up for speakers levels were totally wrong......... minus 9db for LFE levels and crossover at 40hz............ Just altered the levels to 0db LFE level and crossover at 90hz and it sounds 'fantastic' as it should have done had the auto set-up worked properly.

Next stop High Level connection from sub to amp.... have any of you connected your sub with this connection?
