Subwoofer Placement

I know that you get the most bass from a sub when its in the corner, but should the woofer face the long or the short length of the opposing wall for spl, sound quality not an issue at all here regarding bass boominess.

It's a case of trial and error. All rooms are different, and you cow.d try the same thing in two identical rooms but come out with quite different results. You can also try facing the subwoofer so that the driver faces against the wall.

I've tried mine in three positions.

1. Directly on my left at the side of the sofa firing towards the screen

2. Right next to the front right speaker firing towards the listening position.

3. In the far corner of the room, to the right on the listening position under a coffee table.

For practical reasons it's staying in position three. However, position one, next to the front right speaker sounds far the best. It seems to blend the sound in much better. Position 2 not good at all as you're just to close to the source of the bass. Position 3 is a good all round compromise...
