subwoofer connections

hi there

I'm getting a wharfedale diamond sw150 subwoofer soon, just had a look a picture of its connections at the back and it has stereo rca connections? how do i connect that to my single subwoofer pre-out on my avr?

Hi. Note that one set is Input and the other Output. You can ignore the output sockets. Usually with subs, you can connect one only (the left one?) by coax cable to the sub pre-out on the amp and that will do the trick. I believe if you were to connect both left and right inputs you will get slightly more (3db more) power out of the sub this way (if you need it?) - this can be achieved by using a 'splitter' on the end of the coax cable.

when they don't have an lfe input it usually says in the manual which to plug into L or R but shouldn't really matter as inside the sub it would add them both together to create a mono output - google the manual

OK thanks, i figured it would be something like that, just didn't want to buy it and find that i couldn't use it

Hi I use the same sub its in the manual but from my memory its the rh input (red) ( Im decorating so all my gear is upstairs)
