Subwoofer advice

Hi all I’ve just joined the forum as I’m looking for some advice on 2 subwoofers.the first is the monitor audio rsw12 which gets a good review on what hi fi I’m also thinking about the kef psw 1200 but can’t find any reviews.just wondering if anyone has had or listed to both and if they think one was much better overall?

I’ll comment on one, I had an rsw 12 it delivered a pretty visceral experience but it would reach it limits very quickly and would hear it bottom out a fair bit, even at moderate volumes and with the gain on the sub turned up only a quarter of the way

I also went through 2 back plates as they was a cap that kept popping and caused a lot of damage when doing so.

I got rid of it and bought seismic 110 now that thing could rock and never had problems after that.

I’d look for secound hand Svs or bk subs it’s what they’re good at making and make nothing but (well Svs has expanded there offering but are still largely know for subwoofers)
