Is there any sensible device to use between an amp with sub out and a sub to set an even lower low pass than the sub manufacturer built in.
Example. My second system Polk psw1p sub its total reach is 35hz to 200hz. The low pass filter goes to 80hz. I would like to have a low pass starting below 40hz so it only scoops up a few notes from the deepest registers and leaves all above to my Diamond 11.2 speaker. I know it will basically become a "lazy sub", but that is no big deal.
Did a few searches for a smart solution but so far no results. Really wonder. It could decrease a factor of boominess and could improve the overall balance in the 2.1 setup.
