Hi,

Still being really indecisive about my speaker set. What i would really like is a 'sub free' system. I am not into massive bass but want a good midrange sound. Looking for a 20cm high satellite speaker to fit in my rack which is corner based with all kit on stand. Don't like it when i get a 'bass heavy' explosion in the rear speakers which then sound detached and brittle due to front sub placement.

Have seen speakers such as the Mordaunt short alumni at 100hz. Is this low enough?

What sort of frequency response should i be looking at for a strong midrange but not wall shaking bass?

Thanks,
