Streaming media from PC to Blu-ray player

I would like to stream media (photos mainly) from my Windows 7 PC to my Panasonic BD81 Blu-ray DVD player & am thinking of buying the Panasonic DYWL5 USB wireless adapter to access my hub.
Will this work ?

Thanks Bigboss - I appreciate your advice.
I haven't got much of an idea of what functionality to expect with such a link & can't find much info on the net.
Would the streaming be initiated from the PC, DVD or can it be from either end ?
If it was initiated from the PC, I can see that the process would be much more user friendly than using an interface on the DVD but, the PC will be in another room which will be less convenient - particularly when browsing/streaming music files on the DVD/TV.
The specifics of this may be outside of your practical experience but, I'd appreciate any other comments you may have on these points.

You just need a free DLNA server on your PC. I use Serviio. The player will then "see" Serviio and you can browse to your material.
