Good afternoon, I have the AVR Sony STR-DN1040 (http://www.sony.pt/product/hcs-home-...ver/str-dn1040) and blu-ray BDV-NF720 (http://www .sony.pt/product/hch-syste...disc/bdv-nf720), my question is if I can direct connect the speakers and subwoofer blu-ray to the AVR, as the speaker wire and subwoofer have entries different in blu-ray.

Can I cut the wires and connect direct to the AVR?

i dont have an answer to the question but i am interested in buying the same sony str dn 1040 with the sony blue ray player i just want to know you opinion on the sony AV any good with music
