hello all, my son has stored thousands of songs on the pc which i only found by accident. i know this is a stupid question but i wish to play these songs through my hi fi, so do i just buy a lead to go from the pc to my amp and which one. i suppose the amp end would have phonos and the pc end, well i dont know. i cant ask my son as he's off on tour playing drums. it would have to be about 3 metres long. thanks, gregory.

The PC will either have a 3.5mm stereo output, just like an iPod or whatever, or a pair of left and right phonos - it really depends on the model and/or the soundcard. Without knowing too much about the PC's quality, I'd suggest a trip to your local Maplin store and the purchase of a suitable cable, which should be good enough.

It is usually red/white phono leads from the amp into a single 3.5 m/m jack plug into the soundcard on the PC, there are plenty on the net :)
