Stereo vs Home Cinema

Current System: Onkyo TX-NR3008, Pioneer BDP-S370 blue-ray, B&W 684 speaker package, 684 fronts, 685 rears, centre and 610 sub. I would like to enhance my stereo capabilities. Thinking of buying the Marantz CD5004 and a pro-ject or Rega turn table. Now: should I consider getting a stereo pre-amp and utilise the power through the Onkyo, or should I rather separate the stereo system from the home cinema completely, i.e seperate amp and speakers? If so, how?

hi doesn't the Onkyo have left and right pre outs?

If so you could purchase a Stereo amplifier and use that to power the left and right speakers.

IMO you'd be best to get a power amp to power the front speakers in stereo; connect everythig else via the Onk
