Alright, I know a few of you have seen my new setup. I don't know what it is about this new flat but I've suddenly got the Static pops like nobodies business. Now I know the xpression's acrylic platter is a major offender here, and I'm waiting for a carbon fibre mat to show up at the record store. Any other ways to get rid of these pops??

a) clean your records (Knosti Disco Antistat or the like)

b) earth the platter (touch it and your amp, say, at the same time)

c) keep your records in nagaoke inner sleeves

d) use a carbon fibre brush with the record spinning and your finger on the spindle.

I think maybe the wife is shuffling around in wool socks on our polyester carpet. I need to watch her more closely.

Not sure if I like the picture forming in my head. Dont touch her but I believe an oven or sink makes good grounding.
