Standmount speakers Monitor Audio v Q Acoustics 3020 v AE 301

Hi All

I am new to the forum so hopefully looking for some general advice and thoughts. I am currently in the market for some standmount speakers with a budget of around £250 , I listen to music of the heavier variety, punk, metal, rock & reggae,

My current set up is in a smallish room 17 x 8 with Arcam A75plus amp, Technics SL1710 mk2 TT , and an Denon DCD 965 CD. My Arcam has a very nice warm tone to it which i like and I am looking for some speakers which are a little more forward in sound , in order to add a little more bite and punch to proceedings. At the moment I am looking at the MA Bronze 2, Acoustic Energy 301 and the Q Acoustics 3020

Speakers dont need to be bi -wirable although I do have a spare Arcam P75 doing nothing (not convinced of the merits of bi amping/ wiring

Hi, I think the AE 301's are more than £250, more like £425. The AE101 are cheaper though. Dali Zensor 3 worth a look.

The benefits of biamping are well documented, though I'd agree with the biwiring bit.
