Now that you have stands, I would spend all the £400 on the best standmount speakers you can find, obviously after demoing them. Tight bass, detail, and 2 metres away - all points to standmounts in my opinion - you should be able to get some very nice speakers to match your amp. Just make sure the stands are solid/secure.
