standalone mini disc players

could someone help im trying to locate a standalone minidisc recorder that will play 1GB DISCS i made a miss stake by buying the sony mdsje480 from superfi but this will not read 1GB DISCS can someone recomend a model that will and where i might find one thanks for help

Second hand market is calling here. Sony no longer make any full size MD products and I think they were the last brand to support it.

Alternatively the Sony personal Hi-MD recorder, at about £250, is worth exploring.

Your choice is limited to the aforementioned Sony portable Hi-MD machines, the MZR-1 being the current top of the range. I don't know if you are aware but you will only be able to use 1 GB discs on Hi-MD players.

At the moment in the UK I don't think that there is a full sized deck available at all. Onkyo have made Hi-MD decks but they are only available in Japan and the US and to my knowledge Sony have not produced a Full size Hi-MD deck yet.
