Squeezing the best from a setup. Please help

I currently own a Rotel RA04 Amp and Rotel RC06 CD Player with B+W 685 speaker.  I have just bought Chord's Rumour cable and have an old IXOS 104 Interconnect worth £30 about 5 years ago.

With the cables and interconnect I  have, are these sufficient quality for my setup. Would more expensive stuff be wasted on an entry level setup.

I have had the Van Damm Blue Studio cable recomended and  Blue Jeans LC1 interconnects. anyone had experience.

I'd be looking at Chord Chameleon Silver + to match with your Rumour. Excellent combination and not at all wasted on your kit. The other benefit, of course, is that when you eventually upgrade your electronics, you won't need to worry about your cables.
