Have you ever heard the Beth Nielsen Chapman album Sand and Water? one of the most moving albums I've ever heard... her best work by far, written after the loss of her husband.

Just checked out Rose Cousins on Amazon... quite pricey... particularly liked Send off.

I have only one Beth Nielsen Chapman Cd called ' Look ' , but I will listen to 'sand and water' , from your description it sounds like my cup of tea .

Sadly there only seems to be a Karaoke version of sand and water on spotify but I will look elsewhere .

I can't find ' Look ' either .

I also saw Beverly Craven when she first came out, she was on at the Albert Hall... not heard anything from her for a while though.

I saw Beverly Craven live a few years ago at the Mick Jagger centre in Dartford Kent , we were sitting about 12 feet from her performing and could hear her unamplified voice perfectly because we were so close along with the piano she was playing and she is extremely talented musically and a superb songwriter and I have to say extremely attractive , I think every male in the audience was captivated by her charms judging from the chatter in the interval .

Sounds like that venue was more suitable for Beverley Craven... When I saw her she had just come onto the scene and got the impression fame had been thrust on her too early and the Albert Hall was completely the wrong environment for her. Her singing was as lovely as ever, but she just seemed ore struck and just didn't connect with the audience.
