Hello can someone explain in Layman's terms the differences between Napster and Spotify please?

I would like to know the pros & cons with each and which is regarded the best?

cheers

I've not used Spotify extensively, but I believe it's like Last.FM - you can choose an artist and it'll play similar artists. With Napster you can stream artists albums (I don't think Spotify does this, but please correct me if you can!)

Thanks for that - I signed up once but didn't really get too involved with it as I went the Sonos route which uses Napster and Last.FM - I find the similar artists via Last.FM or internet radio stations and then look them up on Napster to listen to complete albums

I have tried both on a monthly subscription and my opinion as follows:

1: Napster has a slightly better library.

2: Spotify Premium sounded better than Napster to me, Napster

also buffers tracks when you skip, so it is a lot slower than Spotify for

skipping tracks.

3: Napster has better library management than Spotify .

4: Napster is better value for money, as the monthly fee includes downloads.

5: Spotify premium has a mobile App, it also allows offline playback.

Cheers Craig

If you're not worried about "occasional" adverts, then Spotify because it's free.

Otherwise you get more for your money with Spotify Premium than Napster IMO, what with the on-the-go usage etc.
