Hi I have just ordered a 606 from exceptional av I now need some speakers for it.I will be using it with a ps3 and sky+.I will be on a budget of no more than £250.At the moment I am using a panosonic all in one would I be able to use these speakers short term but without the subwoofer as it connects straight to the dvd player.I am new to this so any help would be great.

Yes, you could use them short term, provided they don't have a horrendously low impedance figure - check the back of the speakers and/or the manual, as some of the speakers provided with all-in-ones are around 3ohms nominal impedance, which the Onkyo won't like at all.

They'll sound horrid, mind, but with the above proviso yes you can use them.

Spend a bit less than your £250 on a Jamo A102 5.1 system, which will sound much better, or scrape up an extra £50 and go for the Q Acoustics 1010 package, which is a steal at £300 from dealers including Superfi.

is it not strange to have a more expensive amplifier than speaker package ?
I believed than speakers take a more important part (than amplifier) in final quality sound.

Could a KEF KHT3005-SE package be in good agreement with onkyo 606 amplifier ?
Is there a better choice (amplifier + speaker package) for less than £1500 ?

Yes the KEF would be fine with the 606, as would the more conventionallty propoertioned Monitor Audio Bronze BR2 system. But the OP was asking about speakers on a £250 budget...
