Speaker System Required

Would any one like to recommend a suitable speaker package for me? The budget is circa £1K. I have a Sony KDL46W2000, Sony STRA1200 receiver and Sony DVD recorder. My choices from the mag were Qaccoustics 1010, or Denon Smart S301. ALos, since I am not fussed on wires I have considered the Philips HTS9800W system, but I do not really want to compromise sound qualtiy it it wouls be effected. Any thoughts anyone?

As you've already got a receiver and player, you don't need an all-in-one system like the Denon or the Philips.

The new KEF 3005 SE package - reviewed in our current issue - would be an excellent option at bang-on £1000.

Thank you very much for the reply, my only criticism of them is that they look ugly, although to be honest I might have dated worse!!.
Anything that is more pleaseing on the eye?
