Speaker stands kef specifically

Hello again boys and girls

my kit is coming together but i have a final question,ok not final but close, the kef speaker stands have holes in them for speaker cable but are the holes big enough to fit terminated speaker ends through?

I found it quite fiddly getting bare wire through mine, I think you will struggle to get

banana plugs of any description through. May still be possible if the plugs are slim.

The screw terminals on the 'eggs' are pretty sound, and bananas will stick out a fair bit.

Of course, this goes out the window if Kef redesigned their stands with a bigger hole at the

top!

dammit!!

all i want is things to be easy in this home cinema setup!

just means my decision is made regarding bare wire or banana clips at both ends!

but heres the question, due to oxidisation you need to trim your speaker cables on a regular basis, so with this in mind do people get longer cable to cope?

how often do you need to trim the cables?
