hi, Can explain how speaker sensitivity affects how easy a speaker is to drive? for example i know 88-90db speakers are pretty easy to drive, usually, but what about 84 or 86 db? how easy would they be to drive and what sort of amp power might you need?

Quick partial answer here! The sensitivity rating tells you the volume at a metre from the speaker for 1 watt of input power. A 3dB rise might not sound like much but a rise of 3dB is double. Dunno wot sort of amp for an 84dB sensitvity speaker, but probably not a low power valve amp... Hope this is of some help and someone can correct me in a moment!
