Speaker positioning problem

Advise please...

Buying my speakers next month but just thinking of postioning. Rear speakers won't be level because of cupboard on the outside wall meaning that there is a petruding wall where rear leaf or right speaker is going to be depending on how you look at it. Is this going to be a problem when setting up speakers.

no should not be i have my right one 5m behind me and my left i think is just under 4 so there is nearly 1.2m. my flat is on the bend of a road so it runs at the back at a silly angle. It takes a little time but you get it so you dont hear one over the other one
