speaker dilemma

Hi, I bought a pair of castle knight 1 speakers on impulse just before christmas(half price). I already have kef iq5se. The thing is my cd player has just started to skip tracks and I'm thinking instead of a repair I would buy a marantz mcr 603 or 610. Which speakers would be a better partner for the marantz unit? Thanks.

HAve you tried clening the lens with a lens cleaner?

How old is the CDP?

Yes tried the lens cleaner no luck. The cdp is about 4 years old.

You could also consider the Arcam Solo Mini, which I tend to find is slightly more detailed over the Marantz in some ways.
