Speaker Dilemma

My search for speakers for my Tag McLaren system is ongoing. A pair of F1 Calliope with Bass Modules are currently listed on eBay for £2995. What I was actually looking for were Mordaunt Short Performance 6 but they haven't been listed in eBay in over a year unless I've missed a sale.

My alternative was much cheaper, another pair of Monitor Audio GS60. I'm in a dilemma whether to buy the Calliopes. From my research the typical sale price is £2000 but they are being sold by a company so its understandable that they are priced higher.

Do you know for sure any of these are going to work well in your listening room?
Unless you are desperate I would wait a bit longer and see If any Performance 6's come on the market
