speaker-amp communication

Hello,

Since a few months I have a problem with my amp or speakers.
One of the speakers ins'nt always responding (sometimes the Right, sometimes the Left).
When I turn the volume fully open, the speaker comes up again.
I think it's a amp problem (has already a certain age).
Speakers are well connected.

Can anyone enlighten me on the subject or has anyone had similar experiences?

the amp is an Onkyo tx8255

speaker cables l Supra Ply 3,4s

I would suggest changing the speakers for some thing more efficient and getting some electrical contact cleaner spray for the volume pot on the receiver. Power it off completely before using the spray.
Check speakers are cutting out or not on connection B assuming they are currently connected to Speaker A and spray both of those switches too.

My speakers are very good speakers and very recent. My B connections give nothing at all.
Will try the contact spray though.
