I'm looking to pair a set of standmounters with a Marantz SA8005/PM8005 combination.

I have a budget of £1,500 to £2,000 for speakers. This is my first high-end speaker purchase and any recommendations/suggestions would be helpful.

I would try some dali rubicon's (5) had the zenor 1 and they are good for the money but the more expensive dalis really shows the danes know a thing or two about speakers (dali, dynaudio, gamut, jamo, system audio) http://www.whathifi.com/dali/rubicon-2/review or mabye the Dali fazon 5's if you can find them for no more then 2000£ a pair

Currently have a denon dra-f109 (i think the amp is the same as in the marantz mcr-510/610) with boston acoustics a26 with isoacoustics stand and listening to a Shadows record my system just sounds fantastic, if the Boston Acoustics M-340 are much better then my Boston Acoustics A-26 i highly recommend to listen to them

Listen to as many different types of speaker as you possibly can with your equipment. (preferably at home in the room you'll be using to listen in - if you can) They all sound different to each other and different brands have different house 'sounds'.

Take your time. Only you (and your ears) will know what sort of sound you prefer.
