Guys I currently have set up the B&W MT-30 (recently acquired) with an old Nad T751 amp. I used to have the Mission T753 floor standers & Atlantic Technology which I used with a Kenwood KR-X1000 AV Amp THX certified
Due to having kids over last few years my attention has been diverted and I have not got to really listen to what I call my kinda music. On Sunday the family were out, I was Home Alone and on came the music...........wasn't impressed and whether this was down to the amp or speakers I am not really sure. It just did not sound like it used to in the good old days..........
So my kinda music is somewhat eclectic but mainly Classical, Jazz, Soul, RnB............
I have every intention to change my receiver but just not sure as to what i need to change it to just yet and holding back to see what the 3D receivers have are likely to be. I hope to lose my front left and right and have them as rear speakers. My dear wife is happy with them on speaker stands at present and it is now time to introduce the floor standers in a subtle kinda way......promise i will get away with it.
So the question is for stereo and well as surround sound, what fronts will you recommend and are there are AV amps that can be recommended that will be capable of doing both jobs ie. cinema sound and stereo? I have been looking on paper at the CM7 and the 683.............
