Yep, and I 've just been reading about the RP1's upgrade 'Performance Pack': Rega Bias 2 cartridge; upgraded white drive belt (

eh??); 100% natural wool mat. Costs £85 as standalone, but Deco Audio will supply new RP1s with the Performance Pack for £298 all-in. Tempting...

The "white" belt upgrade : The belt is made to tighter tolerances and basically reduces the % slip from the motor to the platter so a more stable speed is attained. I too thought eh?? but when I did it I was quite happy with the results, just sounds more natural 🙂.

E-bay has lots of turn tables for sale. I have recently won a near mint Technics 1210 mk 5 for £185. The stylus and cartridge alone would have cost more than £100. The seller was not a happy camper!
