Hi, I currently have my Tannoy Mercury F1 custom's on a book shelf but its time i got some proper stands! I feel they have a lack of bass sometimes - so with this in mind (and looking at which stands are overall better) which stand do you think i should go for?

thanks

The nexus 6 stands are mass loadable with atabites, tiny fragments of chopped up nails. I loaded mine up last night and a box of them fills the main columns. I loaded them to make them more stable for my two year old, but it'll probably help with bass too.

There are some other comments on the nexus 6 and atabitesÿ

Make sure you get them level and absolutely rock solid with spikes.

I can't beleive the difference this makes - we recently moved house and I set up the hi fi with no spikes in the speaker stands so I could position them easier.

I simply couldn't beleive there'd be much improvement when I put the spikes back but the BASS (

) is totally different and there's so much more clarity.
