Hi!
If you can help me I bought a Jbl Sounbar 9.1 this week and I want to hear good quality music on it. I have an Xbox One X, but the quality is not very good for music. I turned on Dolby Atmos and of course it's amazing to play games, but I didn't try a Blu-ray disc. So, in the end I returned JBL Sounbar and I'm thinking of getting my Bose Soundbar 700 or a Hi-Fi system (but I don't know which one). Can you please help me and suggest me what is best for quality music?
Best thoughts,
Andrew!

Bose: Buy Other Sound Equipment

In general a system that sounds good for music also sounds good for movies. The other way round is very often not the case. if you can afford and place a decent stereo setup, go for it and forget about soundbars

Sound bars are a very big comprise. Normal thin with small woofers.

The only one I’d look would be Sonos

For 2 channel hi fi the second hand market is your friend. Look for something like this for example. Kef cresta 1 or 2s with a rotel of amp of some sort and find a cheap dac of which there are plenty . Should set you back no more than 100-150 quid if your patient.
