Sound source for Formation Duo's

Hello
When listening to Hi res audio from Tidal to my Formation Duo's, does the choice of streaming platform matter for getting the most potential quality?
I am currently using an ipad Pro do stream Tidal through the H and K music app directly to the speakers.
Is the ipad in this case simply passing the stream to the speakers or is there any processing of the Audio going on?
Would streaming through a competitor's device or PC make any difference?

I know when I stream through Apple Music it’s lossless audio and through Spotify ad one it’s not I don’t think.
