HELLO AGAIN,

BACK AGAIN WITH MY SECOND POSTING. THIS IS BASED ON THE ANNOUCEMENT BY 'SONY' IN REGARDS TO THEIR 'XBR' SERIES

Source from:

http://hd.engadget.com/2009/11/13/sonys-2010-2011-oled-tv-and-flagship-xbr-series-leaked/

does anybody have any 'inside' information as to when this 'range' would be released in the U.K?

From what i've read and seen of the 'spec' ...mighty impressive. When are the next 'wave' of TVs by Sony coming out in the U.K

Any input is greatly appreciated.

I wouldn't hold ANY store by this leak at all. Even if it's provenance is genuine plans can change a great deal within a short amount of time.

The next major range update will be at the usual time of year in April/May. Although details may start to emerge fairly early in the new year these will be under embargo and restricted to those who 'need to know' until fairly close to the launch itself.

I would, however, expect the 2010 range to be exciting in terms of moving BRAVIA on to another level and I can't wait to see what Sony have in store for us.

Hi MatthewPiano,

Ditto! i greatly appreciate your input to my posting. In your honest opinion, would be best to hold out till April/May for a person with a budget of 2k to buy one of these new sets.

As i'm very close in being tempted in buying the Philips 47PFL9664, but don't want to be a fool and the next wave of Sony TVs will blow away what else is currently else out there.

Hi darkdealx, the tv you have been looking at will not be launched in the uk.as this is the us version of the x4500 series.as matthew pointed out sony tend to release new models in april may, with dealers and media getting to see pre-product launches late jan 2010.The uk market is not the same as the us or japan models,I remember when i went to sony last march there was a j series tv,it looked stunning.the uks version was the stripped down version of the kdl32w4000.So just stick to the uk website for sony. And yes brace yourself for the new bravia range it will be back on-form for sony in 2010..................and then some.

Cheers!!!

Well not to long to go till Jan'10 then. Would you or your store be getting a broacher of the upcoming new sets any time soon?

Also are there any events that are open to the Pubic in the New Year to see what new sets Sony are unleashing a upon us?

The best thing to do is keep an eye on sonys website, and even on whathifi Im sure andrew or clare will get invited,as most media get invited to pre-product launches.I cant say anymore then that........But it will be worth the wait. And i know sony will be back on top of the game,to put to sleep some of the negative press and comments over the last 14 months.
